Las Olas Boulevard after sunset runs the polished end — rooftop lounges, wine bars, the crowd that made dinner reservations. YOLO, Rooftop at 1 Hotel, and the bars inside the boutique hotels along the boulevard form a tight walking circuit.
The Fort Lauderdale Beach strip on A1A is the louder alternative. Elbo Room has been serving drinks to spring breakers since 1938 and is not ashamed of it. Rhythm & Vine in the NoLa District books better bands than the beach deserves. For a dance club, America's Backyard does the big-room thing with a younger crowd and EDM residents.
The Uber math between Las Olas and the beach is trivial. You can start one, end the other, and not miss anything on either side.
